The Natural Grip was initially developed by jump in 2012 with a small, ecommerce based WordPress site. When they got the chance to appear on ABC’s Shark Tank, we needed to beef things up a bit to ensure the site could withstand up to 1 million visitors at a time. We hardcoded the entire site and moved their commerce over to the BigCommerce platform. We also developed multiple custom landing pages to highlight their premiere. I was in charge of coding the landing pages, and making them interactive, interesting, optimized and responsive as well as configuring their new commerce system. With the help of CloudFlare and Rackspace, the site survived both airings of Shark Tank and led to more sales in one weekend than they had ever seen.
